ABOUT
Natalia Gualy is a filmmaker and has a master in documentary film making. She has been interested in sound as a narrative element, exploring its possibilities in theatrical settings and mainly in the audiovisual field.
In her student years, she enrolled as a sound engineer and production sound teacher in the Zhigoneshi indigenous communications collective, together with whom she completed her training empirically and later was outlined in the profession of sound.
Since then she has participated in various projects - primarily documentaries - as a production sound mixer and boom operator. She has recently been involved in narrative projects, as well as sound designer and foley artist.
Natalia Gualy es realizadora de cine y televisión y Máster en documental de creación. Se ha interesado por el sonido como elemento narrativo, explorando sus posibilidades en escenarios teatrales y principalmente en el campo audiovisual.
En sus años de estudiante se enroló como sonidista y docente de sonido directo en el colectivo de comunicaciones indígena Zhigoneshi, junto a quienes completó su formación de manera empírica y se perfiló en el oficio del sonido.
Desde entonces ha participado en diversos proyectos -primordialmente documentales- como sonidista y operadora de boom. Recientemente se ha involucrado en proyectos de ficción, así como en el diseño sonoro y la ejecución de foleys.
